Let’s Go Learn’s Management Team

Richard Capone: CEO, Chairman of the Board and Cofounder

Experience: Prior to founding Let’s Go Learn, Capone worked as Adobe Systems’ business development manager in charge of national web developer accounts. Other experiences include channel development, product evangelism, production management, and prior company start-up. His motivation for founding the company was two-fold: his interest in his own children’s reading skills and his concern for literacy worldwide. Education: BA in Economics, University of California at Berkeley.

Dr. Richard McCallum: Chief Education Architect and Cofounder

Experience: Currently, Dr. McCallum is Academic Coordinator of the Advanced Reading and Language Leadership Program at U.C. Berkeley. He is also founder and director of CalReads. In addition, Dr. McCallum teaches reading and language arts program development and six ongoing graduate-level courses. He is the author of nineteen publications on reading and language topics and the leader of six sponsored literacy research projects. Presently, Dr. McCallum is a member of four professional advisory boards/committees dealing with reading and literacy. Education: Ph.D. in Education - Language & Literacy Division, Graduate School of Education, University of California at Berkeley; MA in Education - Dept. of Reading, School of Education, University of Florida; BA in English, University of Florida.

Brian Wiffin: Vice President of Global Sales

Experience: Brian began his career as a public school teacher in the Boston Area and later became a college professor at his alma mater, Massachusetts College of Art from where he hold a BS and BFA in Education and Fine Arts. After leaving teaching, Brian began a very successful career in sales and marketing for a number of software vendors in the graphics and publishing arenas. His career spanned direct sales, marketing and establishing and managing international reseller networks for companies like Intergraph, Anark and most notably, Adobe Systems. Brian held positions as Director of Sales and Marketing, National Account Manager and National Business Development Manager for these companies working with the nation’s most prestigious publishing and advertising firms. Brian was also a founding partner of a Web Based training company for the publishing industry. Brian’s background makes him an ideal addition to the Let’s Go Learn Management Team and he brings over 25 years of business acumen and experience to the job. Brian is excited about turning his energies back to the education market and facilitating improving the literacy of our nations youth. He is committed to insuring Let’s Go Learn reaches its’ full potential as the premier supplier of diagnostic assessment and instruction tools for educators and parents. Brian is also a co-owner of three child care and learning centers in the greater Denver area.

Dr. Stephen Moore: Evaluations Advisor

Experience: Dr. Moore was previously Chief Psychometrician in the Education and Measurement Group at eScore.com. Prior to this role, he was Program Manager for Assessment and Evaluation, Clinical Education Division American Academy of Ophthalmology, San Francisco. Dr. Moore has extensive university-level teaching experience. In 1984-1987, he received the U.C. Berkeley Distinguished Teacher Award. Additionally, he has published eight manuscripts/presentations. Education: Ph.D. and MA in Educational Psychology, University of California at Berkeley; MA in Sociology, Indiana University; BA in Sociology, Florida Atlanta University.
