Overlapping Echoing audio in Phonemic Awareness
With certain versions of the Adobe Flash browser plug-in and web browsers, the questions in the DORA phonemic awareness sub-test or the DORA Phonemic Awareness standalone assessment may echo when first playing. Having a congested network or slow Internet access will cause this error to happen more often. If students hear an echo, they should hit the repeat button to the question. During the repeat, the audio is already loaded on the local computer and thus the echo will disappear.
Users of the DORA Phonemic Awareness standalone assessment should test their labs with the new "Start Harder System Test" button found on the system check link on the login pages. This test should be run on all computers at once to simulate the load of multiple students testing at once.
