The Ascend product is meant to be a stand-alone instructional solution that has assessment embedded in it. It will assess students in an ongoing fashion and provide progress monitoring as well. Lessons are interactive as well as in the form of online videos by expert teachers. They position it as a useful tool when a teacher isn't available. DOMA has an advantage in that it is meant to be a general diagnostic that can work with any curriculum. Also, the general Let's Go Learn platform is an ideal repository for assessment data. Title I, afterschool, or core teachers can log in, view data, and use reports to guide them.
