English in a Flash is an online, differentiated instruction program designed to help build vocabulary and grammaratic structures for Second Language Learners. It uses both audio and visual aides to help develop content area vocabulary. It is available for use with Accelerated Reader. It is driven by assessment, and provides feedback and reporting options to teachers. English in a Flash is not appropriate for native English-speaking students, and is not a true reading instruction system; instead it is truly language development. While some reading comprehension will increase due to vocabulary development, this program does not provide instruction in reading comprehension strategies.
